"Hi! My name is Sahan and I’m a sophomore in the Honors Program at the University of Michigan, majoring in Data Science. I’ve always enjoyed helping others learn—especially when it comes to breaking down challenging concepts in math, reading, and writing. My academic background includes rigorous coursework in multivariable calculus, linear algebra, statistics, and computer science, but I also place a strong emphasis on communication and critical thinking, which I believe are essential for success in any subject.

My tutoring experience has been more personal and informal, but just as meaningful. I’ve worked closely with my younger cousin over the past couple of years, helping him navigate high school math courses—from algebra through pre-calculus.

Through this experience, I’ve learned how to be patient, adapt my explanations to different learning styles, and build someone’s confidence over time. I’ve also helped him with writing assignments by providing feedback on structure, clarity, and grammar.
