"Hi, I’m Kyle! I graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor's degree in Math in 2018, and recently completed my PhD in Biostatistics. While I’ve enjoyed (almost) every math course that I’ve ever taken, I’ve gotten the most from the professors who share their own train of thought when solving a problem. I don’t just want to know the right answer—I want to know how we get there! Because I enjoyed these sorts of professors so much, I try to emulate that approach in my tutoring sessions. I verbalize my own thought process when working through examples, and then help my students find their own sticking points when solving problems.

I have a year of tutoring experience from my time at Florida State University, where I tutored 20 undergraduate students a week. I specialized in advanced math topics including calculus 1-III, linear algebra, mathematical statistics, differential equations, and GRE math prep. I also led review sessions for groups of 15-20 students prior to final exams. During my doctoral training, I worked as a teaching and grading assistant for several graduate-level courses. I worked extensively with master’s and doctoral-level students, helping them build intuition for difficult statistical concepts.
