"I'm Jackelyne! I graduated summa cum laude with my Bachelor's in English with a minor in Film and Media studies and earned my Master's in English with distinction. My background in English and writing is quite extensive and allows me to be confident in my knowledge and skillset. Throughout my time in school, I have found that despite some writing projects having similar requirements each must be approached differently. I try to view all writing assignments in a unique way now, as a tutor, in order to keep my feedback helpful and individualize it for each student.

I have been a writing tutor at a local community college for the past year, working with dual enrollment students, college students, and students attending state universities asynchronously. I work with students through different modalities at the writing center and am well-versed in online tutoring through Zoom or email. I mainly work one-on-one with students but have also helped small groups of students at a time on projects or simply on a discussion board assignment. While I am experienced in English, I have helped with a variety of different subjects like Psychology, Sociology, Art History, and Film and Media Studies.
