"I am Alex. I have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science with a minor in Math. While working on my Bachelor's degree, I was a teaching assistant for my school's Algorithms and Data structures classes. As a teaching assistant, I was responsible for helping students learn. I spent hours reading books and papers on best teaching practices and talking to professors, other teaching assistants, and students about how we could make the learning process easier for students.

I spent three years as a teaching assistant, during which time I realized the more deeply a student can engage with the material, the easier it will be for them to learn. Through my years of experience, I have found that the best approach is to help the student break problems down into smaller pieces that they have the tools to solve. This not only helps students solve the problem at hand but also ensures they understand the material and to apply it to future concepts and problems.
