"A little background about myself, I have been a teacher for 9 years -- 3 years in a Montessori school in Manila, Philippines, and 6 years in Jakarta, Indonesia where I taught reading and literacy using both Oxford Reading Tree and Jolly Phonics. I have experience in teaching Montessori and Cambridge for lower primary and inquiry and play-based preschool, too.

For the past couple of years, I have also been trained to be a technology integrator in the lower primary where I taught IOS using iPads to grades 1-3 as well as basic coding using Lego. This is where I facilitated the integration of the topics from the core curriculum to digital creativity using Apple Apps such as Pages, Clips, Keynote, and other sketching apps.

While in Jakarta, I also tutored students ranging from kindergarten to grade 7. I mainly assisted them with homework, English lessons, and projects as well as Global Perspectives lessons.

I have 9 years of teaching in early grades experience and have been involved in several curricula such as Montessori, Reggio, Cambridge, IB, and IEYC.

I have always had non-English speakers in my class, therefore I have the experience in thematically routing early learners to improve their vocabulary and conversational skills before moving into the rigid cognitive tasks.

I lived in Jakarta for 6 years and I am able to properly converse in Bahasa Indonesian.
