"I’m Kailee I graduated from USC Columbia with magna cum laude with a degree in Early Childhood Education. I found in college that my favorite classes were because of the professors I had and their ways of keeping us engaged but mostly making personal connections and creating a safe environment to speak freely and ask questions. I try to bring this into my own practice in the classroom and with tutoring.

I taught kindergarten, first grade, second grade, and third grade math standards. I have made such deep connections with my students and have tailored my teaching to the child and what they need and the way they learn. Teaching in these lower level grades we have to do interventions, some small groups (3-6 kids), and some one on one when I felt like they needed more specific instruction to help them grow. Each year I had all except one or two kids met the standards for that grade level and the ones who didn’t grew so much they were just much further behind.

My goal is to make sure your child is learning what they need to the way the school/teacher is wanting them to learn it using their strategies but slowing it down or taking different approaches to it to help them understand it.
