"Greetings, my name is Dylan. I'm sincerely grateful that you have taken the time to consider working with me. To begin, allow me to introduce myself. I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in history and I hold two Master's degrees in theology. During my undergraduate studies, I focused my attention on early American history and the formation of the United States. After my undergraduate studies, I worked for several years to obtain a theological education as well. In graduate school, I studied philosophy and theology with an emphasis on the history of religion, philosophical theology, and biblical studies. These many years of education were formative in helping me to achieve success.

I have been an educator since 2013 having taught high school religion and history, and I served as a private school administrator overseeing student learning. I also have experience as a college adjunct professor of philosophy having taught Introduction to Philosophy, Ethics in Public and Private Life, and Old/New Testament Survey courses. As an educator, I've mostly taught classes that were small in size and therefore conducive to helping students better learn the subject matter. I believe that tutoring provides a similar atmosphere for learning. My philosophy of education centers on introducing students to primary sources which is the key to successfully learning the subject content. You can expect to interact with the great thinkers, writers, and historians of the past, while also learning how to apply their thought to today's world.

In reflection on my educational history, guiding students as they learn has been a wonderful experience. There is nothing better than seeing a student learn for the sake of understanding with the desire to apply wisdom to life. As a student of philosophy, history, and theology, I have cultivated a deep joy for learning and it is my goal to help students cultivate the same.
