"As a certified educator with two degrees in education—a Bachelor’s from Wayne State University and a Master’s from Saginaw Valley State University—I bring over 30 years of teaching experience and more than 7 years of online tutoring to every session. I specialize in mathematics for students ages 6 to 14 (grades 2–7), offering support in enrichment, targeted remediation, test prep, and homework help.

My sessions are always individually tailored to meet the needs of each student. Whether your child is working to master a specific concept or is ready to move beyond grade level, I use a wide range of strategies, tools, and online resources—including Khan Academy and Open Up Resources—to support different learning styles. This approach allows students to explore multiple paths to understanding and choose the method that works best for them. My goal is to develop independence through the building and strengthening of confidence.

I strive to create a welcoming, encouraging environment where students feel safe taking academic risks and view mistakes as opportunities for growth. Sessions begin with conversation and connection to build rapport and create a comfortable space to learn. After each session, I send families a session report outlining what we accomplished, what still needs focus, and what we’ll work on next. I can also provide resources and links to materials that students may find useful to further their practice outside of our sessions. For students at the elementary level, I offer 30 minute sessions. These shorter sessions keep students focused on the concept being studied during our time together.
