"Hi, my name is John Creighton.  I graduated from the University of Scranton with a degree in Neuroscience and Music History in 2014 and completed my senior thesis on the “neuroscience of music”.  I played keyboard and organ in a touring rock band for 2 years, traveling the US and Canada twice and I currently perform in cover bands throughout New Jersey.  I also have experience singing tenor in a choir and as a music director for a small church.  I have been playing piano for 25 years and guitar for 20 years and I have over 6 years of experience teaching music.  

I love to teach and want to make things simple to understand.  As a teacher, I am patient, methodical, and thorough and will challenge you to grow.  I want to help you achieve your musical goals and give you a solid foundation so you can learn any genre of music or even another instrument! 

As a teacher, I am experienced in teaching classical, rock, pop, and blues piano, as well as theory and composition.  On guitar, I am experienced in teaching the rock, pop, and blues genres.  I have taught students from ages 4 to 65 and feel comfortable teaching all age groups. " less...
