"Hello! I have taught all subjects at the 3rd, 4th and 5th grades. I've also taught science at the 6th grade level. I have a wide range of experience from the public school setting, to private school to home schooling! I graduated from the University of Arizona and have 15 years of classroom teaching experience.

As students learn differently, it is important to find what modality will best help them understand the concept. Additionally, as math skills build upon each other, determining if the student has the basics of number sense, and is fluent in basic facts and concepts is always the first order of business. As a math tutor, I take the time to determine if the basics are in place and analyze what is causing the difficulty in learning new concepts.

My strengths are in math and science. I received a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education with a minor in Science. I have taught science as a specialty in both the 4th and 6th grades.

I enjoy working one on one with students and can tutor in all areas, but feel that my strength lies in math and science. I think it's important to get a clear understanding of students' strengths and gaps in understanding and go from there.
