"I'm Gabriella! I am currently a student at Washington State University, pursuing a pre-med major.

I have been tutoring for the past two years, mostly helping elementary school age students with reading, vocabulary, and spelling! I have a lot of experience working with kids as I was also a soccer coach for 3-12 year olds. I know how to deal with any tough emotions or frustrations young children may have towards their work and I also know many fun games to make the learning process more engaging!

I am also eager to help middle school and high school students with English work, basic math (such as Algebra and Calculus), and basic biology classes! I have done college level biology and chemistry courses and would be eager to assist with such assignments.

One of my favorite parts of tutoring is watching the moment something clicks---when the student finally understands what they're trying to learn. It fills me with joy knowing I'm able to help and watch a student improve and learn to enjoy what they've been actively working on.

My tutoring method varies depending on the student, however, the first session is always used to gauge exactly where the student is at and what they may be struggling with. I use the first session to analyze their learning style so I can be well prepared in the next sessions with materials and methods to adapt to their needs!

My focus will always be on helping the student based on what they need to learn and how they learn best.
