"Hello! Thank you for allowing me to introduce myself. I love learning and helping students in their learning journeys, and it has been my joy and honor to teach hundreds of incredible students over the years, with unique and diverse giftings, abilities, and challenges. I am approachable, patient, and positive, and seek to communicate clearly with my students and their parents.

One of the subjects I enjoy most is reading, and addressing areas of need in the foundations of reading. I love being able to take time to strategically and systematically guide students to be more skilled and confident readers, knowing that reading ability affects students through not only their academic careers, but throughout their lives. Some extra intervention in this area can make such a difference!

I also love teaching math! I enjoy problem solving and have taught/tutored math topics from Elementary to Middle School level. On occasion, I even like getting on Khan Academy to brush up on some of my higher math skills. :)

I graduated summa cum laude in 2005 with my Bachelor of Arts in Education and am certified in Elementary Education K-6 and Exceptional Student Education K-12. I also have my ESOL and Reading Endorsement. I have taught in various capacities during my career, including over 15 years in elementary education in my local public school district, over 5000 online classes teaching English to students in China, and private tutoring in reading and mathematics." less...
