"Hi there! I'm Emily. I'm originally from Fort Collins, CO, but relocated to the midwest to be with my family in Traverse City, MI. I have two children of my own, ages four and two. When I lived in CO, I passed my teaching license test after getting my degree in Human Development and Family Studies with a concentration in Early Childhood Education.

I have worked with children for 19 years now as an elementary school teacher, substitute teacher, Sunday school teacher, day care assistant teacher, and nanny. I believe that childhood is precious, that children learn best through play, and that children especially thrive when they are surrounded by a community and environment that’s supportive of them and their interests.
