"I'm Nicole! I graduated summa cum laude from Bowie State University with a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood and Special Education. I also received my Master's Degree from Bowie State University in Elementary and Secondary Leadership and Administration. My love for teaching sparked when I began working as an After-care teacher. I enjoyed helping students with their homework and making learning fun for them. I eventually became a K-8 STEM Teacher for a private school. I was able to create fun and engaging STEM lessons and experiments for students. I've tutored students after school for about 6 years in-person and online.

As a teacher and a tutor, I believe that all learning experiences should be engaging and fun. I believe that if students have meaningful and engaging experiences while learning content, it will be easier for them to retain the information. I love playing games and watching students apply what they've learned in a competitive way. I also believe that there are multiple ways to find a solution. I implement this into my teaching by introducing students to multiple strategies and methods to learn new skills.

I've taught elementary and middle school students. However, I specialize in elementary school students. I have been teaching for 10 years in a classroom setting. My experiences in the classroom have equipped me to be a great tutor and to meet the diverse and individualized needs of each of my students.
