"Hello, my name is Destini! I am currently a freshman at North Carolina A&T University who majors in psychology. Since I was in the ninth grade, teachers would often seek my help with assisting my fellow classmates. I also have led some of my classes in high school with the permission of my teachers. From this I have gained useful methods and great experience with aiding students. This was the very moment I knew I enjoyed teaching.

I have almost two years of tutoring experience with children in grades K-5 virtually. I believe that zoom bests works for students because they will not have to leave the comfort of their home or experience any trouble through traveling. Online sources such as Brain Pop and Freckle are used for reading comprehension, vocabulary and analyzing. For math, IXL is used and it has 10+ topics with over 300 assignments for students. One major reason I utilize these resources is because they keep track of your child’s progress and shows you the growth that they have made over time.

Within my two years of tutoring I have witnessed students go from under grade level to above grade level. I have not encountered a student who is not worth helping. My job is to help as many students as I can whilst making them feel comfortable and confident in themselves.
