"Hello! My name is Ashley. I have been a certified teacher for elementary students for the past 6 years. My certification right now includes only up to 3rd grade however, I have just accepted a teaching job in 4th grade. I am currently in the process of taking certification to teach grades 4-6 also.

My teaching style is to first talk with the students to see what problems they are having with the particular subject I am tutoring them for. Then ask them questions to see what they already know about the subject before I start teaching them. This will help me guide my teaching and only teach them exactly what they do not know and what is difficult for them.

I am an experienced tutor in elementary math. I have been a 3rd-grade teacher for the past 6 years. I can teach addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, area/perimeter, measurement, counting, skip counting, and graphing.

I am an experienced tutor in elementary science. As well as being a 3rd-grade teacher for the past 6 years, I am a sponsor and teacher for an after school science club. I love teaching anything about plants, animals, habitats, states of matter, and completing experiments.

Grammar is especially important in 3rd grade. I have experience teaching all the basic parts of speech (noun, verb, adjective, adverb, etc..).
