"I have a Masters and a degree in Psychology from SUNY Potsdam. I am a veteran teacher with 31 years of classroom experience. I have taught special education students, third grade, and second grade. I have tutored several grade levels.

Reading is my favorite pastime! I have experience with large and small group lessons. I have had a lot of professional development in best practices for teaching reading.

All of my teaching experience has been with elementary students. I have also raised 4 children. I like sharing my excitement in learning new things with my students and giving the tools to be successful learners themselves.

I have used Saxon phonics, NY state's Common Core skills modules, and older phonics programs throughout my career. This has given me an extensive background in what works best for children learning to read.
