"Hi, my name is Francesca! I am a certified elementary school teacher in two states. I am certified to teach PreK-6 grade, however, most of my experience is with younger elementary students. Throughout my teaching experience, I have worked with students with dyslexia, ADHD, developmental delays, speech issues, autism and more. I have worked with students as a classroom teacher for 5 years, in which I had to develop and plan not only whole group, but also small group and one-on-one lessons.

I love getting to know my students; their strengths and weaknesses, passions and what makes them unique. I especially love finding ways to turn math into fun games and make reading memorable. The foundational skills developed in the early elementary years are so important and yet can be difficult for many students. I love finding ways to make learning hands on and fun for students so that they are excited and encouraged to learn more.

Reading can be especially difficult for young students and many times students are just not getting what they need at school. I have completed the LETRS training on the Science of Reading and I am currently working on my Dyslexia Certification through the Dyslexia Training Institute. Reading has long been misunderstood as something that students will get eventually and that comes naturally. However, science shows differently! Our brains learn to read in very specific ways and specific neural connections need to be made in order to be successful in reading. I would love to work with your child to help them develop these important reading skills!
