"Hi I'm Jordan! I am currently a 3rd Grade teacher in an ICT classroom at a public school in Manhattan. I completed my undergrad degree (with honors) in Inclusive Elementary and Special Education at Syracuse University. Right after graduating, I got my teaching certifications through a series of tests. I am dually certified in both General Elementary Education (Grades 1-6) and Special Education. Shortly after, I got my Master's degree in Literacy Education at Columbia University's Teachers College in 2022.

It has been my dream to be a teacher ever since I was young. I have been in the classroom gaining experience for many years now and have worked with students who have diverse needs and abilities. I specialize in giving personalized and differentiated support to my students and work hard to help them succeed in any way I can. My strengths include developing positive and respectful relationships with my students and using my creative abilities to make learning engaging and fun. Although my graduate degree is in Literacy Education (mostly focusing on phonics, reading, and writing), I am well-trained and experienced to tutor in Math as well. I have been tutoring on and off for many years. In fact, currently, I am running an after-school program at my school specializing in literacy support for struggling students.
