"Hello! I'm Jessica ! I attended the University of South Florida -- Go bulls ! There I completed my bachelor's degree majoring in the College of Public Health. I completed my degree coursework and was thrilled to graduate but felt I enjoyed being in the classroom more than anything. I then decided to pursue my passion for teaching and complete my certifications. I have been working as a teacher for the past three years in both preschool and elementary positions as I complete my professional certification. Most recently I have taught as a kindergarten teacher in the Tampa Bay area and loved it! I have experience in both one-on-one and group session tutoring that was offered after school. Learning should always be engaging and fun! I like finding exciting ways to learn new concepts while helping to develop a students skills and interests!

I have experience as both a teacher and a tutor in elementary subjects. Being able to recognize and assist in the learning process is my passion. I have knowledge of what the state standards and educational systems require as well as real world understanding of various techniques to achieve set goals. I feel being a teacher prior and now focusing on tutoring has allowed me to develop a wealth of knowledge to help students meet their goals. I hope to create learning environments that are engaging and fun for students to look forward to participating in.

As an after school tutor I focused on ELA and math state standards within a group of students. These sessions were three weeks per subject and allotted for one-on-one interaction as well. During my time as a preschool educator, I specialized in creating science lesson plans and curriculum. Science is one of my personal interests and hobbies. Being able to teach science is a treat as most concepts apply to everyday occurrences that students can engage in at all times. Whether we can creating tornadoes or understanding the animal kingdom, science is my jam!
