"My name is Marina! Ever since I was young, I have known that I wanted to be a teacher because I enjoy helping people learn new things. I graduated with my undergraduate degree in Elementary and Early Childhood Education from Central Washington University in 2015. I have been passionate about teaching for ten years.

For the first eight years of my teaching career, I taught students aged 7 to 10 in a third-grade public school classroom. During my time in public school, I completed my Master's degree in K-6 Math Education. I also attended numerous training sessions, the most memorable being the Lexia Science of Reading training. This training has deepened my understanding of how to help students learn to read effectively.

After my years in public school, I shifted direction and became an assistant teacher in the elementary classroom at a private Montessori school. This experience has taught me how to blend various teaching styles and philosophies in order to meet the needs of each student best. Montessori education emphasizes hands-on, experiential learning and student independence, provided that the environment and lessons are well-prepared.

Through all my experiences and training, I have worked with a wide range of teaching methods and interacted with students from diverse backgrounds. I genuinely believe that all children are capable of learning, regardless of their circumstances; they need the right teacher and a conducive learning environment.
