"James M., MFA is a practicing poet and fiction writer who retired from teaching Native American youth at Chemawa Indian School. He also taught junior high, public high school in California and in Oregon, as well as all levels of college undergraduate writing coursework and Creative Writing (his specialty) at University in Colorado. Recently he has tutored for the Chemeketa Writing Center.

Previously he taught ESL and citizenship-prep courses for immigrant applicants and ESL at ELS Language School in Los Angeles. He has taught in China as a transfer professor for University of Colorado, Denver and Boulder. He was a professional skier and rafting guide.
