"I’m an MIT/Columbia-trained engineer with a strong foundation in mathematics, computer science, and robotics. My academic and professional work has focused on machine learning, mechatronics, and the development of intelligent rehabilitation robots. I’ve applied these skills both in research labs and in industry as a machine learning engineer, where I’ve designed and deployed real-world AI systems. This blend of theory and hands-on engineering allows me to explain complex ideas clearly, using intuitive examples that make abstract topics feel concrete.
I’ve been tutoring students for several years in subjects including Python programming, machine learning, linear algebra, calculus, and general STEM coursework. I’ve worked with high school, college, and adult learners in both one-on-one and small-group settings. My approach is patient, encouraging, and rooted in active problem-solving: rather than simply giving answers, I help students build intuition, break down difficult concepts, and develop the confidence to tackle new challenges independently. I tailor each session to the student’s goals, whether they are preparing for a class, strengthening fundamentals, or diving into more advanced AI or coding topics. During grad school I was lead teaching assistant for most of my 2 years at Columbia.
Ultimately, my goal as a tutor is to make technical subjects accessible and even enjoyable. I believe that with the right guidance, every student can learn to think more clearly, solve problems creatively, and master the tools they need to succeed. I look forward to helping you reach your learning goals." less...
