"I hold a Master of Science in Engineering from Brown University with a focus on Computer Vision, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from METU, an institution accredited by the US-based ABET Engineering Accreditation Commission, where I graduated with high honors. Earlier in my academic career, I was the valedictorian of Adana Science High School, a highly selective school entered through a competitive national exam. Since 2007, I have worked at a reputable software company as both an individual contributor and a team lead, developing strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills that directly support my ability to teach mathematics clearly and effectively.

While I do not have formal classroom tutoring experience, teaching and mentoring have been consistent parts of my academic and professional life. As a team lead, I have mentored new hires, interns, and high school students, guiding them through complex technical concepts and helping them build confidence in their abilities. I have always enjoyed explaining ideas, creating practice problems, and breaking challenging material into manageable steps. More recently, while helping my own child with schoolwork, I realized how much I enjoy working with students and supporting them academically, which led me to pursue tutoring more intentionally.

My approach to tutoring is rooted in patience, clarity, and confidence-building. I believe students succeed best when concepts are taught step by step and when they feel supported rather than rushed. I can assist with homework, exam preparation, or focused review of specific math topics a student wants to strengthen.
