"Education is my passion. "Education", from the Latin, means "to lead out of." We need to open ourselves up to the world around us. There is so much going on. New discoveries in science open up the universe and find cures for diseases. Hi-tech communication puts the world at our finger tips. We just have to learn to discover our world and the people in it. And we cannot blindly accept what is offered to us. Knowledge in different areas helps us to be critical thinkers. Speaking German and English (ESL) help us to understand people from around the world and their cultures.

Germany plays an important role in the world of politics and in our global economy. Many Germans speak English. But it so much better if the foreign traveler or business woman can speak and understand the native language when visiting Germany. Nelson Mandela says it best: "If you talk to a man in a language he understands that goes to his head; if you speak to a man in his language that goes to his heart. However, it is also important to speak fluently English, no matter where one lives. English is the language that people around the world learn so that can be truly a member of our global community.
