"I'm Lily! I graduated summa cum laude from South Dakota State University with a degree in English and a minor in professional communications. During my undergraduate experience, I grew passionate about essay composition and helping other people with their papers. Due to this, I became a tutor at my university's writing center.

For four years, I helped hundreds of college students write papers on a wide variety of topics, including the humanities, STEM, and the social sciences. My lessons were often one-on-one formats where my student and I would have an interactive learning experience about how to improve their writing. However, I also taught small group tutoring sessions of maximum ten students on various topics, including MLA format and essay structure. I helped students in any stage of the essay writing process, including outlining, drafting, and proof-reading.

During these lessons, I focused on a variety of important aspects of composition, including essay structure, grammar, sentence style, and various writing formats (MLA, APA, and Chicago Style). My tutoring lessons go beyond providing feedback or editing a paper for a student. Rather, I provide engaging one-on-one sessions where I help a student dive into in the writing process and learn how to better their composition skills.
