"Education is liberation. Successful education results in opportunities, choices, and freedom. My philosophy of tutoring is to act as a guide, fostering independence and encouraging positive study habits that can be used in all areas of education. I listen to the unique needs of each student and develop a learning plan to meet students where they are.

Before moving to the Medford area, I worked for six years as an English tutor at Portland Community College. I helped students with writing, reading, vocabulary, and speaking. I am TESOL/TEFL certified and very experienced at teaching English to ESL/ESOL students. I graduated summa cum laude (highest honors) with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and summa cum laude with a Master's degree in Psychology and Multicultural Education. I also spent two years as a teacher's assistant for two Women's Studies courses at PSU, so I can also tutor in the fields of Sociology or Social Work.
