"I'm Ali, a certified educator with a passion for helping students discover confidence and joy in learning. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in English with honors, graduating summa cum laude from the University of Connecticut, where I focused on 19th-century British literature, and went on to complete my Master’s in Education at Quinnipiac University while teaching full-time. I spent four years in the high school classroom, and I now homeschool my own children, giving me hands-on experience with learners at every grade level. I’m also a certified EBLI (Evidence-Based Literacy Instruction) tutor, trained in methods that build deep literacy skills for struggling readers.

In both English and Math, I believe every student deserves the chance to start where they are and build forward. I know firsthand what it’s like to feel behind. I once thought I wasn’t a “math person” until I realized I’d simply missed essential early foundations. Now, I love helping students fill those gaps and experience what it feels like when learning clicks.
