"Hi! I’m Valentina, an experienced English educator with a passion for helping students grow as readers, writers, and critical thinkers. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in English Literature with K–12 teaching certification from Kean University in 2020, and I recently completed my Master’s in Reading Specialist from New Jersey City University in 2024.

Since graduating, I’ve been teaching English to 9th graders. I create lessons that are engaging and work for all kinds of learners, including students in special education programs. I focus on strategies that help students understand what they read and feel confident in their skills. My approach mixes structure with creativity, whether we’re exploring classic stories like The Odyssey and Animal Farm or working on essay-writing with step-by-step support and feedback.

I also enjoy working one-on-one with students who want extra help in reading and writing. I believe every student can succeed when learning is personalized, patient, and supportive.
