"I am a native English speaker with a bachelor's degree in Political Science and a bachelor's degree in Philosophy and Religion. I have over ten years experience working in the non-profit sector specifically focused on government relations, public policy, public affairs, and grant writing. Additionally, I am conversational in both Spanish and Italian.

I spent one year as a private English tutor for both children and adults in Italy. During this time I was able to help my younger students pass their English classes with high grades and one of my adult students gained acceptance into Oxford University after we spent significant time focused on improving her English writing skills.

For both children and adults I believe the best way to learn English is through dialogue about a topic they are passionate about. When proofreading or editing papers I believe it is important to work with the individual to ensure they understand why I am making edits so that their understanding of English is deep, not just rote memorization. In all of my previous experience I have worked one on one with students.

Additionally, I am an accomplished public speaker and have given speeches and lectures at several national and state events.
