"Hi there! A little background on me: I received my BFA (Bachelor of Fine Arts) degree from Moore College of Art and Design in Philadelphia, a city steeped in history and culture that I enjoyed to the fullest. In addition to art courses, I studied history, sociology, literature, and creative writing.

My father was a professor of Journalism at West Virginia University, and my mother was also a teacher and an artist, having received her BS in Art Education from Moore. The apple, as they say, didn't fall far from the tree, and I am proud to follow in their footsteps as an educator, myself. Making a difference in a student's life is an utter delight for me!

In addition to my ten years at Guilford Technical Community College, where I taught courses in history and vocabulary as well as art classes in drawing, portraiture, and color theory, I have experience teaching, both in groups and one-on-one, subjects from grammar, spelling, and writing to drawing and painting, creative napkin folding, and self-defense. I even taught karate in college!

I have written online for a variety of clients and for several websites, as well as for several blogs of my own. Since I started writing web content in 2008, I have produced thousands of articles and blog posts, and I won a category in San Jose State University's Bulwer-Lytton Fiction Contest in 2011. I have edited manuscripts, articles, term papers and even a master's thesis, and I am confident that I will improve your skills in reading comprehension, vocabulary, grammar and spelling, and all kinds of writing, from creative fiction to term papers.
