"Hi, I'm Rebecca!

I'm currently a senior at Amherst College, double-majoring in Mathematics and Computer Science. I've always loved learning, and I started tutoring with a specific goal in mind: building the confidence of other learners. Being able to approach a new class, a new subject, or even just a new assignment, with confidence can completely change the experience. I want students to build writing and analytical skills that they can continue using outside of our lessons to feel prepared when facing new challenges. My former students have found me very helpful as a friendly, flexible, and understanding tutor. I'm happy to accommodate specific requests for our sessions, and it's important to me that I understand students' learning styles. What works (and what doesn't) is different for everyone!

I have multiple years of experience tutoring adults AND children one-on-one in English (particularly English as a Second Language), and I'm branching out into Mathematics this year! I also have experience with tutoring various job skills, including but not limited to resume revision, proofreading presentations, and writing emails. My students range from ages 6-65, and I've maintained a >4.5-star rating on my previous platform.
