"Hi, I'm Joy! I have over a year of experience in tutoring ESL on the volunteer platform ENGin. The program consists of English-speaking volunteers tutoring Ukrainian citizens who hope to gain an education in ESL. Serving as a volunteer tutor within this program has been extremely rewarding, for I have been able to dually aid a worthy cause and gain experience in teaching ESL. While I have some knowledge of understanding and speaking Spanish, I am a firm believer that the best ESL education comes from immersing yourself in the language entirely. Thus, I like to conduct my lessons in nearly full English, and have found that this teaching style has best helped ESL students of an intermediate level.

I am currently 18 years old and am about to embark on my first year of college with a score of 750 on the Evidence-Based Reading and Writing section of the SAT. If you are not an ESL student and instead are looking for an English tutor who has both a deep love and understanding of the subject in conjunction with knowledge of how to teach in an online setting, I've got you covered!
