"Hello. I am Teacher Matt. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education / English and Spanish. I am 58 and I have been living in San Diego and teaching English/ESL for 30 years. I currently teach an ESL class at Miramar College and I am looking to expand my tutoring options. I’ve been teaching adult students (16 and over) for 30 years. I am an expert in ESL, TOEFL, IELTS, FCE and CAE.

My strength is explaining Grammar in an understandable and fun way and then practicing it a lot with my students in writing and conversation activities.

I have a YouTube channel. The videos show me in my “classic form” explaining grammar lessons in one or two minutes in a fun and understandable way.

I am also excellent at helping students with Reading, Writing, Listening, Speaking and Vocabulary. I use a variety of resources during my online lessons. I have online textbooks, websites and e-worksheets that we can use. Also, I have taken the TOEFL test recently myself and I can supply current feedback, tips and strategies.
