"I’m Brian! I’ve been a Teacher/Tutor/Mentor based in the SF Bay Area for over 10 years. I started as a volunteer and an afterschool tutor with Sylvan. I also taught as a substitute in the Union School District for several years, and I was an SAT/ACT Test Prep instructor for a company in Fremont, CA, until the pandemic. For the last several years I was a Teacher/Mentor at a small private school where all instruction was 1-to-1. Now I’m excited about the opportunity to provide excellent English Language Arts instruction to students via Wyzant!

While my B.A. degree is in American Literature (UC Santa Cruz), and I was primarily an English teacher, I also have several years experience tutoring and mentoring students in Life Skills, SAT/ACT Test Prep classes, Business Entrepreneurship, and Post Secondary Counseling & Exploration. I’ve worked extensively with a huge variety of students, many neurodivergent, and I believe I can help you achieve your English & Test Prep goals.
