"Joy graduated from renowned film schools at NYU Tisch School of the Arts (with a 3.92 GPA) for a BFA, and then an MFA at USC School of Cinematic Arts, both in Film and TV Production. She was briefly enrolled in the MFA in Film Directing at Chapman University’s Dodge college before USC. She also has an MBA from University of Cambridge. She is selected as a writer/director by Berlinale Talents at the Berlin International Film Festival. Her films were selected in many international festivals and she has worked for many veteran filmmakers such as Renny Harlin(Director of Die Hard2), Robert De Niro and Jane Rosenthal's office at Tribeca Films, both for doing script coverage and development, Christine Choy(First Asian Oscar Nominee) to edit her film, and a dozen more industry experience from pre-production to post production.
