"For more than two decades, I have been passionate about instilling in students a true interest in life-long learning, in learning languages, and in exploring other cultures. Beyond that, I have experienced special satisfaction in developing my students’ social skills, their creativity and analytical thinking, along with a focus on idealism and social justice.

During the course of my career, I have had the opportunity to teach at various schools in Germany, Texas, Pennsylvania, and California. Most of the years I have taught in both public and private schools in the United States as a German language instructor or generalist. Lately, I have helped numerous learners succeed with their personal goals in high school, college, and university level German language classes. For those students interested in studying or living in Germany, my sessions prepared them for various exams such as the B1 or C1, AP German, and the IB DP exams.

In Texas, I taught English, Social Studies, Science, Math, Computer Literacy, and German. I was chosen to teach High School German at one of the nation's best public high schools in Pittsburgh, PA and, upon moving to California, became a teacher for Math, German, and Humanities at a private international school in Menlo Park, CA. I now teach German one-on-one, online, and in small group settings. Besides offering my own online learning environment, students from 25+ nations have valued the interdisciplinary connections I strive for, my multilingual communication skills, my structured and well-planned approach as well as my ability to react to changing requirements in flexible, creative, and efficient ways.
