"I have been playing guitar for nearly 20 years, and have been teaching for over 5. I am fluent in a variety of styles, including Classical, Rock/Metal, Blues, Bluegrass/Country/Folk, and to a less extent, Jazz. I have completed a four year degree in Music Composition from Keene State College. I studied Music Composition with Dr. Heather Gilligan and Christopher Swist. I studied guitar with Dr. Jose Lezcano for 4 years and have also received workshops/masterclasses with the following guitarists: Frank Wallace, Zaira Meneses, Seth Austin, Lincoln Meyers, Adam Levin & Mathew Rhodes, the Amaral Duo, and the Alturas Duo. I have also participated in ensemble performances under the direction of the following: Carlo Domeniconi, Dusan Bogdanovic, Frank Wallace, Eduardo Martin, John Zevos, Jose Lezcano and Jim Chesebrough. I have a comprehensive knowledge of the history of the guitar, including its origins in Spain as well as more recent developments, such as Americana and Blues-roots.

Along with teaching the guitar, I am also able to teach music theory/composition, including how to write parts for other instruments as well. I have a strong desire to impart my knowledge to students but I also believe that it is my responsibility to guide the student towards their own goals based off their personal interests.
