"Hi, I'm Adrianna! I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Secondary English Education and have more than six years of experience teaching English Language Arts, with a particular emphasis on grammar, writing, and composition. I spent four years teaching high school English in a classroom setting, where I worked with students in college preparatory, honors, and AP-level courses. During that time, I focused on helping students develop strong writing foundations by improving sentence structure, punctuation, clarity, and word choice. I also taught a Saturday SAT/ACT preparation course for one year, supporting students as they built the reading, writing, and grammar skills needed for standardized tests.
For the past two years, I have worked primarily as a one-on-one tutor, supporting students ranging from elementary school through college. This individualized setting has allowed me to tailor my instruction to each student’s specific needs, goals, and learning style. I focus on meeting students where they are academically and breaking complex writing and grammar concepts into manageable, approachable steps that build both understanding and confidence over time.
I have experience teaching both in person and online and am very comfortable working in virtual learning environments. I use interactive tools and guided practice to keep students engaged and ensure that sessions are productive and supportive. Whether a student needs help strengthening foundational grammar skills, improving academic writing, or preparing for exams, my goal is to help them feel more confident and capable as communicators." less...
