"Hello, my name is Sachin, and I am an Information Systems major pursuing my Bachelor's degree at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC), where I maintain a 3.789 GPA and earned a spot on the Dean's List as of May 2024.

During my college experience, I often helped friends with Calculus by forming study groups. This allowed me to assist them with homework and offer strategies such as careful reading of questions and applying concepts to real-life situations. My success in these groups inspired me to become a tutor, starting my career at Howard Community College (HCC).

At HCC, from September 2022 to August 2024, I tutored college students in various math subjects, including College Algebra and Calculus I and was awarded the Peer Tutor Mentor Award for my dedication to student success. Since September 2024, I have been a Computer Science tutor at UMBC, focusing on programming languages like Java. In both roles, I have provided one-on-one tutoring, tailoring feedback to each student’s learning style.

I foster a welcoming environment for students at both HCC and UMBC by encouraging questions. After teaching the material, I ensure students have the opportunity to clarify any uncertainties. I also provide them with practice questions to evaluate their understanding, offering feedback to address any gaps in their reasoning.
