"I'm Anna! I graduated summa cum laude from The College of New Jersey with a bachelor’s degree in English and Secondary Education. I also earned my New Jersey teacher certification to teach English for 6th through 12th grade. In college I worked as a peer tutor and helped other college students study and write papers for humanities and social science courses.

I taught 9th and 10th grade English classes at a high school in northern New Jersey for 5 years while I earned my Master’s degree in English from Middlebury College. I now work at a university as a professional writing tutor and educator who supports student success.

I have over seven years of experience teaching 15-20 students per class as well as coaching students one-on-one after class and during tutoring appointments. I guide my students to problem solve and then practice the skill we are focusing on together until a feeling of confidence is achieved. My approach is student centered and I’m dedicated to encouraging the growth and success of all learners whether we are working on English Language Arts or writing for other subjects.
