"Hello Potential Tutee!

In May 2025, I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Oklahoma State University with a Bachelor of Science in Honors Physiology and a minor in Mathematics. I began college as a mechanical engineering major, but after realizing my passion for helping others, I switched majors to physiology. However, I continued studying mathematics and chose to pursue a minor in mathematics. Beginning my sophomore year, I worked for the Oklahoma State University Mathematics Learning Success Center as a Level 1 Tutor, helping students with College Algebra, Pre-Calculus, Calculus I, and Calculus II. Later that year, I began tutoring students in Calculus III, Differential Equations, and Linear Algebra. I soon advanced to a Level 2 Tutor after taking a placement test. Throughout my time as a tutor, I learned the importance of utilizing different teaching modalities according to a student's unique learning style. These various techniques include talking through a problem with a student, using real-life examples to help the student conceptualize a problem, and drawing graphs to give a visual representation of a mathematical concept, among others. My experience as a tutor for a year in college will serve me well as an independent mathematics tutor now. I am passionate about students understanding the logic behind the math and not just knowing how to do the steps. I am incredibly patient and willing to take the time to ensure a student's comprehension of a mathematical concept.

I am currently working as a medical assistant at Mercy Hospital, and I love my job! However, I am looking for an opportunity to earn some supplemental income to save money for medical school, which I will start in the fall! Additionally, my time as a medical assistant has enhanced my communication skills and taught me the importance of putting oneself in others' shoes to connect with them better.
