"I am currently an undergraduate student majoring in Aerospace Engineering at Georgia Tech, with a strong academic foundation in mathematics. My coursework and training have given me extensive experience with math at the elementary, middle school, high school, and early college levels, including calculus. I have a deep understanding of how mathematical concepts build on one another, which allows me to help students move beyond memorization and develop true conceptual understanding and confidence.
My tutoring experience began in high school, where I shadowed my math teacher and assisted with calculus and upper-level math classes. In that role, I worked directly with students in one-on-one and small-group settings, helping them review material, prepare for exams, and strengthen foundational skills. I also created my own math curriculum notes and practice problems tailored to different learning styles and levels of ability. Additionally, I have experience tutoring students with intellectual and learning differences, which has strengthened my ability to adjust pacing, explanations, and teaching strategies to meet each student’s individual needs.
As a tutor, I emphasize patience, clarity, and problem-solving strategies. I focus on breaking down complex ideas into clear, manageable steps and encouraging students to ask questions and think critically. I work with elementary, middle school, and high school students, as well as early college students in introductory math and calculus. My goal is to help students feel capable and confident in math while building skills that support long-term academic success." less...
