My name is Travis M. I graduated from Michigan State University in 1996, with a Bachelor of Science in Lyman Briggs Zoology. Upon graduation, I entered graduate school (MSU) and taught a number of science courses at the University level. During this time I also entered the Teacher Education program offered by MSU completing it in the spring of 1999. MSU's Teacher Education program is routinely rated as one of the best education schools in the country, and it helped me sharpen my skills as a teacher. During the summer of 2000, I completed my Master’s in Zoology. My research entailed studying the effects of platinum containing chemotherapeutic drugs on tissues and enzyme systems in the Wistar rat. My graduate course work included many biology and chemistry courses as well as some course work in teacher methodology. I believe my experience teaching biology enables me to help students understand and enjoy the subject about which I am so passionate!

I have taught introductory biology, as well as upper level courses in the biological and zoological sciences to undergraduate students while in graduate school at Michigan State University.

I have taught AP Biology for 19+ years.

I have graded AP Biology exams for 18 years, and have served as a Table Leader and Question Leader at the annual AP Reading.

I am a consultant who hosts workshops to instruct teachers new to teaching AP Biology.

I have taught HL & SL IB Biology for 15+ years.
