"I am Janet! I graduated with a BSN in nursing and enjoyed that for many years. I also have a Master's degree in physiology. I began teaching middle school science when my children were in elementary school. I enjoyed that for 12 years. I then began my high school career and am currently in my 13th year at my current school. I have taught physical science in the past but have been teaching Biology for 9th grade and IB Biology. I have excellent pass rates on the End of Course for Biology as well as being above the world average in passing for the IB exam in Biology HL.

I have been tutoring in an afterschool program at my school and find that very enjoyable. I want students to love science as much as I do and so I try to make lessons that are engaging, enjoyable and interactive. I am not one to lecture much as I feel it important that students interact with the content - they learn best by doing! Science is a subject that is easy to get involved!

I have excellent pass rates on state assessments. I have been teaching IB Biology since 2013 and my pass rate is above the world average. Many years I have had 100% pass rate. This is true with my 9th grade Biology and the Florida EOC exam. I have only had 1 student not pass with a 3 or higher. I am energetic and will always be prepared. I am easy to get a hold of and will always respond quickly to questions or concerns.
