"I have had the opportunity to teach every grade from 4th grade through Algebra 2 and tutored 1st - 3rd grades, high school and college math students. I have discovered that most students just need a place to study with someone to answer the question, "Am I doing this right?"

My goal is for students to feel comfortable with math to the point where they are willing to take risks and try different ways to achieve solutions. I enjoy exploring new ways for students to tackle problems in math by creating study helps for students to use as references so that they are able to work independently. I also help students to feel comfortable making their own reference sheets (notes) so that they feel confident using them. (and them working independently.)

I hold Texas Education certifications in Elementary Self-Contained (1-6), Elementary Mathematics (1-8), & Secondary Mathematics (6-12) and have taught 2 years private school (grades 3 -5 ) and 11 years middle & high school math implementing new curriculum and developing lessons to assist my students in understanding various math topics.
