"Hello! My name is Lizz and I'm hoping that with my help, you will love math as much as I do! I am a former high school and middle school teacher and l love to help students build their confidence in math. When I'm not teaching or working as a web developer, I love being outdoors or hanging out with my cat Chicken Nugget.

I taught math at the high school and middle school level for 8 years. My favorite and most recent classroom subjects are pre-calculus and AP Calculus, but I have also taught Middle School math and Algebra I in the classroom, and tutored math students in just about every math subject. I am certified in the state of Illinois to teach math for grades 6-12. Before I was a classroom teacher, I was once a flight instructor, so I've taught a lot of different things!

I understand that everyone has a different learning style. Having my wealth of experience with both classroom teaching and one on one tutoring, I have many different ways of approaching and explaining various topics, and I'll keep trying them all until that magic moment when it "clicks" for you. I think you'll also enjoy my sense of humor, because after all, you're much more likely to learn better if you feel at ease and maybe even have some fun.
