"Hi! I’m Yulina, a recent graduate of Georgetown University, where I majored in Economics and Math. I have scored a 5 on the AP Calculus BC exam and a 1540 on the SAT, and I graduated with a 3.8 GPA. During college, I completed and earned A grades in advanced mathematics coursework, including Multivariable Calculus, Linear Algebra, Proofs, Ordinary Differential Equations, Discrete Dynamical Systems, and Statistics.

I have extensive experience helping students master math concepts and reach their academic goals. At Georgetown University, I worked as Student-Athlete Math Tutor for one year, conducting one-on-one tutoring sessions for students enrolled in Calculus I and Probability & Statistics. I also worked with high school students through Georgetown’s Summer Academies, leading review sessions, supporting classroom activities, and offering guidance on college preparation.

I genuinely love working with students and explaining math in a clear, intuitive way. I especially enjoy helping students prepare for exams and watching their confidence grow as they learn to solve problems independently. In tutoring, I strive to make learning positive and engaging. I typically begin by introducing a topic in a fun or intuitive way, then move into explicit instruction, and finally reinforce understanding through targeted practice problems.
