"Hello everyone! My name is Mike, and I’m truly excited to be a part of your learning journey. Teaching science—especially physics—is not just my career; it’s my passion. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Physics Education and a Master’s degree in Earth Science Education, and I’m certified in both Physics and Earth & Space Sciences for grades 7-12, as well as AP Physics by the College Board. I’ve been lucky to spend the past few years teaching General Physics, AP Physics and GeoPhysical Science at New Canaan High School, working every day to make these complex subjects fun, accessible, and deeply connected to the real world.

Before I stepped into the classroom full-time, I gained valuable hands-on experience working outside of education in the engineering field. These experiences taught me how physics principles are applied every day—from renewable energy installations to construction projects—and I love bringing real-world examples like these into my lessons. Whether we’re talking about the forces acting on a rooftop solar panel or the physics behind driving a car, I strive to help students see that physics isn’t just something in a textbook—it’s happening all around us, all the time.

More than anything, I’m passionate about making science relatable, exciting, and empowering. I truly enjoy helping students unlock the "aha!" moments when they realize they already interact with physics in their everyday lives—whether it's riding a bike, throwing a ball, or simply walking down the street.
