"I'm Makia, I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and a minor in Computer Science in college. Many students have difficulties in mathematics and I noticed earlier on that it was mostly with Algebra. Most teachers did not take the time to explain the concepts and methods of solving mathematical problems properly to students. In my teaching approach, it is all about ensuring the student gets an excellent understanding of the topic at hand. This can be done by using examples from everyday life which makes learning an enjoyable experience for the student. I also ensure the student gets enough practice of what is learnt. Practice makes perfect so the more the student practices, the better they become on that topic.

I have 2 years' experience of tutoring for ninth Grade Algebra 1, tenth grade Geometry and eleventh grade Algebra 2. The students needed additional assistance, so I worked with them to make sure they had good grades and did not fall behind the rest of the class. I also tutored other subjects like Science, Finance and Business.
